From flat profiles to formed components
The Metal Outsource range includes enclosure shelves, base plates, covers, brackets, holders and stamped parts. Depending on geometry and quantity, a requirement may involve laser cutting, punching, stamping, bending or a combination of these operations.
Provide the required sheet material, thickness and finish. For formed parts, the drawing should make bend orientation and assembly references clear. If a flat pattern is supplied, identify the corresponding finished-part revision so that both describe the same component.
Fit and assembly interfaces
Hole positions, bend directions and mating surfaces determine how a formed component fits into the final assembly. Include finished-part drawings and relevant interface dimensions with your enquiry.
Specify inserts, fastening points and features that need subsequent machining. Where joining is required, Welding & Assembly can be reviewed alongside the individual sheet metal parts.
Finishing and delivery condition
Surface treatment is considered with the material and application. Include the required coating or plating specification, color where applicable, masking areas and any dimensions that must be checked after finishing. Protective packaging is particularly relevant for visible or coated surfaces.
Small batches and repeat-production parts can call for different tooling and process choices. State quantities per delivery, expected annual demand and any sample-approval or inspection requirements so the quotation reflects the intended supply pattern.
